Deep in the Welsh mountains, far from his father’s court, Tobias lives a relatively normal life for a young prince. Tensions grow at the royal court until a cruelly ambitious uncle conspires to eliminate all heirs to the throne, clearing the path for himself.  Narrowly escaping, Tobias flees into the forest, alone and hunted.  He is taken in and hidden by an old blind man who is far more than he appears. With the help of his mysterious mentor, Tobias must gather his courage and discover the mysterious magic of the ancient Celts slumbering within him.  To save his family and reclaim his birthright, Tobias must master a magic he doesn’t understand, but he won’t fight alone.  From the terrifying shadows of the underworld to the hidden courts of the Fae, an unlikely rebellion brews to support the boy who would, if he survives, become their king.
